Edit Mode — Customise Your Unsheet App After Generation
Use Edit Mode to change titles, descriptions, and add metric components to your AI-generated Unsheet app. Full customisation walkthrough.
In this guide
Entering Edit Mode
- Open any of your Unsheet apps from the Dashboard
- Click "Edit App" in the top navigation bar
- The interface switches to edit mode — text fields become editable inputs
Change the Title and Description
In edit mode:
- The app title becomes an editable text input. Click it and type a new name.
- The description becomes a text area. Add context about what this app tracks or who it's for.
Add Metric Components
Click "Add Metric Component" to add a new metric card. This creates a blank metric that you can configure to point to any cell in your spreadsheet data.
This is useful when the AI didn't detect all your important totals, or when you want to highlight specific KPIs.
Save or Cancel
- Save Changes — Commits your edits to the server. The updated schema is saved to Firestore and persists across sessions.
- Cancel — Discards all changes and reverts to the last saved version.
Only the schema (layout and metadata) is editable. The raw spreadsheet data remains unchanged — re-upload if you need to update the source data.
